We collect information that you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use the Service, and information from third-party sources.

2.1 Information You Provide

Account registration data including your name, email address, date of birth, and profile photo; profile information such as your preferred sports, skill level, and location; content you post including match reviews, messages, and community interactions; payment information processed through our third-party payment providers; and communications with us including support requests and feedback.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

Device information including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information; usage data such as pages viewed, features used, time spent on the Service, and interaction patterns; location data (with your permission) to help connect you with nearby players and venues; and log data including IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

If you sign up using a third-party service (such as Apple Sign-In or Google), we may receive your name, email address, and profile information from that service. We may also receive information from venue partners related to your bookings and match activity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; to create and manage your account; to facilitate match-making and connect you with other players; to process bookings and payments; to send you notifications about matches, bookings, and community activity; to personalize your experience and deliver relevant content; to monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service; to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues; to comply with legal obligations; and to communicate with you about updates, promotions, and news related to Matcheo (you may opt out of marketing communications at any time).

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

With other users as part of the Service's social features (e.g., your profile, match history, and skill ratings may be visible to other users); with venue partners to facilitate bookings you have made; with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, analytics, cloud hosting, and customer support; in response to legal process or government requests where we believe disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Matcheo, our users, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain certain information as required by law, to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for legitimate business purposes. When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
